| Application&Usage | In cosmetics, the combination of fucoidan and dihydroxyacetone (DHA) can deepen the color and distribute DHA more evenly. This joint use method is formulated at concentrations of 1% -3% and in aqueous phase below 40 ºC. The function of fucoidan is not only to deepen the color, but also to react with the free amino groups of keratin in the epidermal stratum corneum, producing a coloring effect similar to the Meidra reaction. This reaction mechanism is similar to the dynamic process of natural sun tanning, but it can avoid the damage of sun exposure to the skin and protect the skin from UV damage.
