Chemical High Purity Anti-Inflammatory Indometacin / INDOCIN CAS 53-86-1: Indometacin, chemical name 2-methyl-1 -(4-chlorobenzoyl) -5-methoxy-1H-indole-3-acetic acid, belongs to BCS class drugs, high permeability, low solubility, poor dissolution, low bioavailability in vivo. Indomethoxacin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs), which has anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic effects. It plays an anti-inflammatory role by inhibiting cyclooxygenase and reducing prostaglandin synthesis, while the antipyretic effect is related to inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the hypothalamus.

Application&Usage	1.Indometacin or indomethacin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID),  to reduce fever, pain, stiffness, and swelling.  2.Indomethacin is commonly used as a prescription medication to treat fever, analgesic or inflammation caused by many conditions such as arthritis, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, bursitis, rheumatism, or tendinitis. 3.Indometacin works by reducing the production of prostaglandins, Prostaglandins are chemicals that the body produces and which cause the fever and pain that are associated with inflammation. Indometacin is similar to ibuprofen (Motrin) and naproxen (Naprosyn, Aleve).
